Brunch and a Movie with A UNITED KINGDOM
Brunch is by far my favorite way to spend time with girlfriends. Long gone are the days of late night dinner and drinks. Perhaps it’s me hitting my mid 30’s but whenever we make plans to hangout, our first instinct is to plan a brunch. While brunching at a restaurant is fun, it’s always more fun to host it at home. You have more flexibility on time, it’s more cost effective and any mention of Mimosas is really all you need! Also another great way to add to a fun brunch with girlfriends is to have brunch and a movie!
Love stories are best and in particular the new release of A United Kingdom, a true one at that! A United Kingdom, starring David Oyelowo (Selma) and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) is the period romance telling the true story of King Seretse Khama of Botswana, who fell in love with a white English woman during the 1940s, putting his country and rule in jeopardy to marry the woman he loved. The couple faced opposition from the British government, members of Seretse’s own family, and from a number of other powerful sources, who treated their love as a thereat to the status quo.
