*This post was done in partnership with Crazy Pita. We were hosted at Crazy Pita for lunch in exchange for promotion. As always all opinions are our own.

Worrying is something I do often as a mom. We worry for their health and safety most but worrying about bullying is becoming a bigger issue the older they get. Preventing bullies in general, all starts at home in my opinion. If we teach our kids to respect one another, be kind and stress daily to treat others the way we want to be treated…then bullying wouldn’t be the issue it has grown into. Bullying comes in all forms, in person and online and unfortunately is not limited to just our children…it’s the adult bullies that teach our children to become the same. As role models we should always lead by example.

Did you know that Anti Bullying week which kicked off this week on Nov. 13? I was excited to hear that Crazy Pita Rotisserie and Grill’s efforts to recognize this! It’s truly inspiring to see when the community gets involved to support amazing causes. All this week they will be donating a portion of its proceeds from the purchase of all Joshi’s Pita to the Josh Stevens Foundation.

Crazy Pita is a huge supporter of the Josh Stevens Foundation and the Be Kind mission by featuring a Be Kind merchandise stand at all three locations with 100% of the proceeds going back to the Josh Stevens Foundation. Previously the Kefta Pita (Josh Stevens’ favorite dish), Joshi’s Pita, a pita with marinated, seasoned ground beef, was renamed in remembrance of the late Josh Stevens who passed away from a tragic accident in 2008.

We had the opportunity to visit Crazy Pita Rotisserie and Grill for the first time this past weekend. The kids and I each tried their famous Joshi’s Pita and absolutely loved it. Each plate came with a side of fries and the meat was super flavorful and tender. My personal fave was adding the white sauce to the meat and veggies. Needless to say, we will be back to try more of their menu offerings.

During our visit, I took advantage of the opportunity to explain to my kids why we were there. We discussed anti bullying week and I shared the story of Josh Stevens and the legacy he left behind through his foundation and how it’s making a difference in the community. Soon enough the conversation led to many questions and in the end, the lunch was not only delicious but educational as well.
