An American Girl Story: Summer Camp, Friends for Life

Summer + Friends + Sleepovers go hand in hand, especially for your girls. I’ve always been hesitant about letting my kids go to or host a sleepover of their own. Last year was the first time I let did both, I think the main reason why I was comfortable with it was because it was with their close friends and I also knew their parents as well. I told the kids they can only go to another friends house overnight if I know their parents too. That is the only way that I feel comfortable as a mom. Since last summer, it has been something the girls look forward to every chance they get when their are off of school.

Activities are easiest in the Summer because they can go outside to play of course, but keeping young tweens occupied before bed can be challenging once they wind down after spa treatments and such. I find that movie time is the best thing to do before they are to go to bed “on time”. Popcorn and a fun new flick that they haven’t all seen yet. And if your girls are obsessed with American Girl stories just as much as mine are, then the new Amazon Original Special AAmerican Girl Story: Summer Camp, Friends for Life which is now available on Prime Video is for you…or should I say them!

In the new special, friends Z (Zoe Manarel, The Nightingale) and Paz (Alison Fernandez , Logan)arrive at S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) camp excited for tech heaven. When the administrator surprises everyone by restricting their devices, they think their summer’s doomed.
