Healthy and Kid-Friendly Super Bowl XLIX Eats
Who’s ready for their Super Bowl XLIX party this Sunday? Whether you are throwing an event or attending one, I’m sure most of us are craving some wings, pizza, chips and dip! As yummy as that sounds, I think it’s super important to give your guests a variety of options to choose from…especially healthy options. Not only healthy but kid-friendly too! While the grown ups enjoy the game, the kids need to be fed and entertained too!
If I were throwing my own party, I would do a fun take on Bento box snacks. Not only would this keep kids busy but it will keep their belly’s full on healthy nom noms too! First off you can either purchase some disposable lunch trays or pick up some inexpensive bento inspired plastic containers too. Now here are some quick, easy and healthy ideas to prep for your Bento-Box snacks. Create a mini veggie and dip station (cucumbers, broccoli, red peppers, grape tomatoes and use dips like hummus, Greek yogurt or ranch), a fruit platter of easy to eat fruits (strawberries, blueberries, grapes, apples) and instead of potato chips use my kids personal fave, Pirate’s Booty Aged White Cheddar.
With this fun interactive snack station, your guests (kids and adults) will be coming back for more healthy eats while rooting for their fave team!
